該產品是在導入ISO規格以后按照JIS標準所生產的，用于檢查嚴密性高粘合為目的的螺紋的檢查使用（R,RC,RP）。R和PT的產品螺紋是同一尺寸的，但測量方式是不同的。管或者管接頭處的末端在量規的切口長度的范圍內的話就是合格的。以前的管用錐形螺紋量規PT的不同之處如下：

     Taper threads specified by the ISO standard are used to achieve tighness against fluids at connecting threads parts.Taper thread gauges are used for inspection of this type of thread .Thread of workpieces R and PT are similar in dimensions but the gauging systems are different.It passes if the pipe or the end of the pipefittings is within the range of the length of the notch of the gauge.Major differences listed below.

   (1) 錐螺紋環規的磨損極限：錐螺紋環規的磨損極限是被規定的。

       For R thread gauge,the wear limit is specifild.

     (2) 點檢塞規：磨損極限是錐螺紋塞規的點檢塞規來檢查的

       For the R thread gauge,the thread ring gauge and thread plug gauge are independent and for the thread ring gauge,the spg(CP) is used.
